Product Description
TB-500 Fragment 17-23 (Ac-GDKPDAE) is a shortened, N-terminally acetylated and C-terminally amidated synthetic derivative of the active core region (amino acids 17-23) of the naturally occurring thymosin beta-4 (TB-4) peptide.
This 7-amino-acid fragment contains the functional LKKTETQ-like motif believed to be primarily responsible for many of the actin-binding, cell-migration, and tissue-regenerative properties associated with full-length TB-500/TB-4 in preclinical research models.
Because of its dramatically reduced size compared to the 43-amino-acid parent molecule, the TB-500 Fragment 17-23 exhibits:
- Improved stability against enzymatic degradation
- Potentially enhanced tissue penetration
- Greater resistance to rapid clearance
- Simplified handling and reconstitution
- Potentially offering superior bioavailability and a longer half-life
Common Research Applications
